Of course, i find medicinal herbs and ammunition lying around all the time.
Still, what makes you so against an extra headpiece for a profession. If you dont like the helmet option you could always stick with using a crest. This suggestion being implemented would in no way change any of your characters and the looks of other peoples characters is their choice not yours.

Because I don't want to deal with 15 year olds running around thinking they're Leonidas shouting THIS IS SPARTA! or TONITE WE DINE IN HELL! before every pvp match or pve mission
and i know this will only increase the amount of people doing it.

But the one thing that really irked me about 300, was the age 15 following it had that ran around the mall shouting THIS IS SPARTA! and throwing a stick around or something. It was incredibly over-hyped beyond reason. The whole movie was basically CG, except the dialogue, neither of which were that great. Basically, everything 300 did, many other movies did better. The only thing it did great was realistic decapitations.

At least I felt good for that time (who cares that im not 15).

I'm talking about how everyone thinks Guild Wars should make sense, and I'm saying, very few video games make sense.
I rarely find I can put something in a box, and then travel about a mile up the road, look in a similar box, and retrieve the item I put in the box a mile back the road

Could you stop nagging about 300 and realize that this isn't about a movie or about children being childish? I can't stand the hearing teens act stupid either, but I don't go about it like you do. This kind of helm looks very cool, and it's not because of any movie.
If this was added to the game and children left and right made 300 references, so be it. If another hugely popular movie comes out with catchy lines, and it has something to do with the existing common armor, would you moan and groan again?

Then don't play with them. Also in my experience the 15 year olds i have met in game have been more mature than a majority of the older players.

complaints about people saying catch phrases is completely invalid.
you can easily set those people to your ignore list, or even more simple. turn off your chat dialog box.
complaints that its not realistic-- also invalid. it is a game, and doesn't need to make sense.
complaints that npc's can have things that players cannot -- valid, as of now in the relm of GW, there are only a few things that npc's have that the player cannot obtain. i.e. hero armour (upgraded), npc armor. all weapon skins can be obtained.
my opinion -- give paragons helmets!
people say they are sick of the lame crest, i agree!
others say they shouldnt do this, because it will alter their appearance of their personal character.(invalid, you can choose not to wear the new armor *GASP!!!*)
for me, in the relm of guild wars. having a floating crest should mainly be kept for the elementalists, as its only a lame reskin. the other casters actually have something that you can see, and not get annoyed by..
necromancers. -- scar patterns (deathlike appearance)
monks -- tattoos (religious)
mesmers -- facemask (drama outfits)
elementalists -- floating crest (floating element thingy?)
rangers -- mouth covering mask (nature-esk style)
assassins --mouth covering mask (face-hiding stealthlike)
ritualist -- headwrapping (religious with spirits)
dervish -- hood (religious cloths *again?*)
warriors -- helmets ( duh...?)
paragon -- floating crest (WTF!!)
for gw, all the headgears (linked) to their profession, actually fits the theme of that character.(see list above) with the exception of the paragon..
if anything the theme of a paragon can be argued with real life scenarios, or with the gw theme, to be angel-like... so maybe something with wings on it, kinda like the FoW armor..
if anyone wants to make the helmet themselves, and post it up as a mod, it will most likely have a better chnce for anet to impliment the design, like with the frustrated people and their broken monk armor, having their tattoo cut short with different armor sets. (which anet thankfully fixed)
that pretty much sums up everybody's arguement, and put it my own..
if it wasnt obvious enough.. /Signed.

Your ignore list can only take so much.... Maybe they should make that infinite? Then I could just ignore every player I see that says something ludicrous or half-assed in all chat, then my ignore list could be in the 60,000s.

This is basically contradicting yourself. The entire reason this thread exists is that "the floating crest makes no sense"
And no one on the negative side of the issue ever said it was unrealistic (as far as i know)

Yea can I plz have a helm for my Paragon....I still understand why that little armour designer in Anet and she knows i'm talking about her.
Heh heh. I think she's kinda cute but her last armour designs have made me go hmmm and *sigh.
A pretty little helm for the female para and a sturdy beefed up helm for the males would give the paragon something to really grab a hold of.

People do that already. It's not like adding a single helm is suddenly going to make everyone act like a total moron whenever they see a paragon.

Its call consistency of design.
Forehead Gems have been....since Prophecies and Factions established as headgear for Elementalists. It continues to be headgear for elementalists in Nightfall and Eotn.
Paragons wearing a very similar gem takes away from the class' individuality and creates a poor design.
Female paragons ALREADY share a lot of the same basic animations as female Elementalists. The sharing of silhouettes blurrs the class identity.
Its poor character and armor design to have headgear that doesn't match the armor. This ALONE should be enough to demand a helmet.
Lets look at the 15k Gladiator Armor for warriors. It took forever to get a helmet for this set. It never had a matching helm. Now it does. I think its a bit ugly, but its more consistent and creates a better thematic set than any paragon armor ever has.

wow, good argument, lots of examples, lots of good points. I love the para, I just don't have time to play one. I'd like to see em get head gear.
